We are delighted to announce that Tsingpu Yangzhou Retreat designed by Neri&Hu is selected as the Winner in "Building outside the box" by the Brick Award 22. The Award ceremony was held in Vienna yesterday.
Brick Award, held every two years, was initiated by Wienerberger in 2004. The Brick Award has set itself the task of providing a stage for excellent brick architecture and its architects. Their aim is to show just how modern and attractive building with bricks can be, while at the same time giving due consideration to the principles of sustainability.
With 789 projects from 53 countries, the Brick Award 22 has the highest number of entries in its history. An international jury of architects selects the winners within the categoris including two Grand Prize winners. The jury of Brick Award 22 includes: Brigitte Shim, Tina Gregoric, Ingrid van der Heijden, Jesper Gottlieb and Wilfried Kuehn.
Founding partners Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu are invited to participate in the Brick Award 22 - Architecture Symposium "Architecture: Connecting Nature and Culture" today at the Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna from 10.30am to 1.30pm (CET).
